About Our Branch
ABOUT THE NAS SURREY BRANCH
The NAS Surrey Branch is a volunteer-run support group founded by parents in 1995. We now have over 1500 members and offer a variety of local meetings, talks, parent programmes and activities for families with children and adults with autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs).
The Branch is part of The National Autistic Society, a national charity founded by parents in 1962 which runs a wide range of services such as schools and adult services. It has over 20,000 members, 100 branches and works in partnership with more than 50 local autism societies. The NAS exists to champion the rights and interests of all people with autistic spectrum disorders and to ensure that they and their families receive quality services appropriate to their needs.
The National Autistic Society is a registered charity, number 269425 - this is also the charity number for the branch. Company limited by guarantee number 1205298.
WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS to deliver support and help with activities for families that include someone with autism - can you help? To find out about volunteering with us, please contact Sara Truman at firstname.lastname@example.org with 'Volunteering' in the subject line.
